The three of us first connected on the basketball court as teammates, competitors, and close friends. Years of playing professional basketball together taught us values that continue to guide us and the way we invest: the ability to execute under pressure, learn from mistakes without dwelling on them, stay grounded in success, and remain resilient through challenges. Most importantly, we experienced the power of true teamwork – the foundation of real partnership.

Over time, that friendship deepened beyond sports. Avi and Noam began managing capital for private investors – Avi leading financial planning and fundraising, and Noam focusing on investment strategy and portfolio management. As their results compounded and their investor base grew, they decided it was time to formalize their approach and launch a hedge fund. At that point, they were looking to complete the puzzle and teamed up with Lior, who integrates behavioral insights into the decision-making process and helped shape the fund’s structure and strategic framework. Together, the three launched NANA LONG Capital.

Noam Matalon

Co-Founder & CIO

Noam is a long-term investor with over a decade of experience in public markets. He has managed significant portfolios for private investors and currently leads the fund's investment strategy, overseeing research, portfolio construction, and capital allocation.

Noam has a strong track record of performance and specializes in identifying emerging global winners across diverse industries. As Chief Investment Officer, he is responsible for managing investment decisions within NANA LONG Capital's high-quality businesses portfolio.

Avi Eliyahu

Co-Founder & CEO

Avi brings deep expertise in capital raising, portfolio management, and financial planning. Before founding NANA LONG Capital, he served as Chief Economist in the mortgage division at Bank Leumi and worked as a financial consultant to private investors.

As CEO, Avi oversees the fund's operations, investor relations, and capital raising initiatives. Additionally, he leads the fund's strategic growth, cultivating long-term relationships with partners and investors. Avi holds a B.A. in Economics and Management, with a focus on financial statement analysis.

Lior Shem-Tov

Partner & COO

Lior is a behavioral economist with a strong academic and applied background in decision-making and human behavior. At NANA LONG Capital, he leads the fund’s strategic development, operational design, and long-term planning.

Lior holds a B.A. in Economics and Business Management and an M.A. in Behavioral Economics, both earned summa cum laude. He serves as a university lecturer and is currently pursuing his Ph.D., with research focused on behavioral economics, judgment and decision-making, and sports science.
